		<description>LEGO has done well with the Mindstorms kits.  Their decision to open-source the firmware was well received (and caused a lot of uproar).  It&#039;s proven to be very beneficial to them too.

The new NXT kits are causing a stir as well, since it appears LEGO is actually listening to their customers about what should go in it.</description>
