In, How to get traffic for your blog, Seth Godin writes: “Don’t write about your cat, your boyfriend or your kids.” Good advice, in general. Of course he follows that up with: Write about your kids [the broken link was removed] – a sentence later. You have to learn the rules and then learn when (and how) to break them.John Hunter

    Regarding the bear treed by a cat: We have a number of cats and it is either their upbringing or something in their genetic makeup that makes one cat run and another cat take on anything that wants to get in the game. Jack, our stray siamese/tabby mix, is bold, strong and very sure of himself. Other cats will scurry out of the way at feeding time but Jack will literally take off my hat if I don’t get to his feed dish before anyone else. A small dog, full of himself, came charging at Jack and he just continued to clean himself, ignoring the charging canine until the dog started to have second thoughts but could not stop in time. There was a serious a** whuppin’ and the dog’s owner secured it in the car to prevent further damage. I would bet that dog won’t be running at cats anytime soon.;^}
